It's the little things...

.........enjoying the last of the daffodils.

...........loving  the grand stretch in the evenings!

...........giving Murphy his 'bath'!

.....watching these seedlings grow and looking forward to seeing them bloom...Hugh' favorite flower!

.......exploring and wondering where our beach went after all the recent rain!

.......spotting the first swallows arriving for the summer.

.......eating many many of these muffins due to all the left-over porridge around lately.

.......getting seriously excited about all the new little babies arriving later this Summer and Autumn!

......watching my 'littlest thing' grow bigger by the day!

All these little things are brightening up my days!

Identifriday!

Identifriday- where we identify the wildlife we come across on our doorstep and on our travels and get into the habit of noticing and appreciating our local biodiversity!

Lumbricus terrestris- Common Earthworm

Maisie has become fascinated with these guys! This one is in his new 'home' (and is better off than his compatriots who were held in hand a little too long. RIP little wormies.

Lumbricus terrestris does a fantastic job aerating and mixing the soil and improving it for the plants that grow there. In fact Charles Darwin said that no other animal has "played so important a part in the history of the world, as have these lowly organized creatures".

When Maisie was younger a common phrase that was heard throughtout the day was 'What doing!?'

Then it turned into 'What doing doing?' (much to the amusement of our friend Labhaoise!)

He's here!

He arrived on the 6th of Feburary, born at home in the water. He's sweet and easy going and charms us all with his bashful smiles. We're falling more in love with him everyday. Our beautiful darling Eoghan!
